STORY Durham

A year-long, multi-channel campaign identity rolled out across 40+ assets and spaces.

STORY Durham was a year-long campaign for a major programme of talks, discussions, and creative events at Durham University - designed to feel present across campus, not just advertised.

As Creative Director and Lead Designer, I built the visual identity and led a small creative team through multiple phases (launch, build-up, live week, and wrap).

The aim was consistency at scale: a simple, recognisable brand system that could flex across dozens of formats without losing clarity.

Campaign Identity • Creative Direction • Brand System • Print + Digital • Event Design • Editorial

A big part of the strategy was physical distribution - coasters, stickers, tote bags, banners, café touchpoints, and venue graphics - creating repeat moments of recognition in everyday student spaces, supported by a coordinated digital rollout.

Alongside the campaign system, I concepted and storyboarded a promotional film (reaching 15,000–17,000 views on Facebook) and designed a printed report magazine for stakeholders, bringing the story and impact of the week into a crafted editorial format.

The brand system was applied across 40+ physical and digital assets across a 12-month timeline.
