About Studio Duglas
Hi, I’m Mari-Liis - the creative behind Studio Duglas!
While James and I work together on weddings, Studio Duglas is where I bring together my other creative passions: portrait photography and graphic design.
My background is a mix of design, photography, and visual storytelling. Since 2020 I’ve been working as an in-house designer and media officer, and in 2024 I completed an MA in Graphic Design with Falmouth University, graduating with a distinction.
I was honoured to have my project ‘Pet Connect’ shortlisted for the Creative Conscience Awards 2023. The app prototype was designed to connect isolated elderly people with local pet owners for companionship and community - a project close to my heart, and a reminder of how design can bring people together. Alongside design, I’ve always loved using portrait photography beyond weddings as a way of noticing the beauty in people, relationships, and everyday moments.

Graphic Design
Design has always been a way for me to tell stories visually - to bring clarity, beauty, and creativity into how ideas are shared. With a background in graphic design (MA, Falmouth University, Distinction) and several years of professional experience as an in-house designer, I’ve worked across a wide range of projects, from branding, editorial and print design to digital and campaign visuals. What I love most is creating work that feels thoughtful, timeless, and true to its purpose.

Portrait Photography
Portraits are about more than posing for a camera. I love capturing moments of connection, expression, and genuine emotions. Whether it’s a couple’s shoot, a gift for someone you love, or simply a moment you want to hold onto, I aim to keep things relaxed and natural. No pressure, no need for posing experience, just space for you to be yourselves. I’d love to hear from you!
